Jonesin' for the Bucks
Is it just me or can’t the National Championship game get here fast enough. It seems like it has already been forever and a day since we found out we were officially going and we STILL have three freaking weeks until the game? This layoff is seriously difficult for me. Maybe it is because I am incredibly ready to get our shot at redemption and finally beat an SEC team in a bowl game. Maybe it is because if you watch or read anything right now it is all about how we don’t have a shot. Being the underdog is awesome, but for two weeks now all you see on these crap ESPN mock playoffs it how the Buckeyes don’t even make it to the Championship game?!?
It also might be because the hoops team is not blowing up like last year, I mean Koufus and Diebler are good and all but they are not Oden and Conley. Whatever it is I am going through complete withdrawl. I am hoping that the upcoming holiday and new years will be able to provide something else for me to think about but I doubt it, I will be spending it with my family outside of Columbus so I am sure that there will be discussions, rants, raves abound. I am betting that instead of dreams of sugar plums dancing in my head I will be having dreams of Boone and Barton pancake blocks, Beanie galloping in the open field, Laurinaitis stuffing the run, Gholston with sacks galore, and Boeckman to Robiskie and Hartline. Then once New Years hits the hype will be in full swing – the last week will test my threshold of sanity for sure. There just is no substitute for Buckeye Football. Seriously, this game is ours for the taking. I hope the team is as ready as this fan is – the moment if here for us. Now is the time.
